Yet another monster release from Hell Yeah Recordings as “East Berlin’s perennial bad boy” gets his hands on some classic house that you won’t be able to resist.
Oliver Koletzki (he of Stil Vor Talent and Flash Recordings) get all atmospheric with the vocals from a big house track of 2004, ‘Resist’ by Roland Clark (Defected, now on King Street) with its part Malcolm X, party Martin Luther King sermon of ‘Resist’.
It’s ideal for Koletzki as the music to ‘Yes We Can’ as an orchestral piano and strings job with congas in a sort of pro-Barack Obama, anti-George Bush Snr clash of time zone vs. house; big tune that you’re as likely to hear at Fabric as at Watergate in Berlin.
Florian Meindl (the other half of Flash Recordings with Oliver) has already had a monster release on Hell Yeah with his ‘8 Bit Romance‘ and another long ‘un with a remix of Crimea X’s ’10PM’ (and a dub version!) but the remix duties this time go to Italian DJ-producer Enzo Elia (who also responsible for a Crimea X remix of ’10PM’ with Martin Pantinol). This version is aimed more at an Italo-house set and even gets in some school kids in the playground effects.
To finish things off Umek (aka Uro?° Umek) is one more the founding fathers of the dance music scene in Slovenia and as a result, the most famous techno DJ/producer from that part of Europe. With his own 12″ coming out on Hell Yeah Recordings (the double a-sided ‘Spare Good For Me’/’Scream’), his remix is straight from the pulpit of Satan’s tech house bang-bang.
Another stunning release on Hell Yeah and it’s another one you’ll need this summer.
