Bugz In The Attic - 'Move Aside' |

Whether it’s because there are so many Bugz (Orin ‘Afronaught’ Walters, Paul ‘Seiji’ Dolby, Kaidi Tatham, Daz-I-Kue, Alex Phountzi, Cliff Scott, Mark G-Force, Matt Lord and Mikey Stirton) or the number of side-projects they get involved in that has caused such a wait for the album, I can’t say but one of the reasons they have taken so long to get to this point is that they have also been developing a live band set up to promote the album. Orin and Daz were on Peterson’s show a couple of weeks ago previewing some of tracks that finally made their stringent review panel to make the LP, called Back In The Dog House. After the massive ‘Booty La La’ (with vocals by Bembé Segué and M’pho Skeef), it’s hard to come up with a follow up single. ‘Move Aside ’ is ‘single material’ with a good chance of daytime Radio 1 plays in addition to the evening fans of Gilles, Pete Tong and Zane Lowe. The ever impressive Bembé Segué features on the ‘in ya face’ lead vocals and there is a short rap is by Tor in a ‘Warrior Queen’ stylee. But it’s the big drums that caught my ears and together, it all makes for a “Club bomb” as they say in the biz. Sort it out, let’s go! I’ll warn you, it gets better every time you hear it. So with Bugz In The Attic moving towards a live show experience in addition to the production house roots, it looks like the West London sound will be everywhere this summer. Great!
