Wyl is a folk and roots man although he has been known to undertake wider sonic adventures and is at his most content scouring the musical landscape for the best sounds and stories.

After a succession of improbable jobs and university courses, seven years of arts writing, editing and freelancing led to his appointment as Fly’s Deputy Editor.

He is also a guitarist and sails a catamaran although he rarely combines these interests.
