Larmer Tree Festival 20th Anniversary, Wiltshire/Dorset 14-18.07.10

Latest headliners to be confirmed for 20th Birthday Bash at the Larmer Tree are Toots and the Maytals and Robert Cray but there’s much more to this Festival than star headliners!

LarmerTree2010.JPG

With Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra all set for his traditional opening show and this year his special guest is Alison Moyet (see HERE for Lulu in 2007, HERE for the full festival and HERE for 2008).

Toots and the Maytals will be headlining on the Friday (16th) and Thursday’s headline act will be the legendary Grammy Award winning blues guitarist Robert Cray who has nearly being playing as long as his mates blues axemen Eric Clapton and B.B. King (OK, not that long but he’s been at it at least 30 years).

This festival is loved nearly as much for its setting as attracting a wide range of acts. It’s like a mini-WOMAD and other acts just confirmed are Otis Gibbs, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, James Yuill, Grass Mountain Hobos, The Heavy, With Love From Humans!, F-Fever and Swarathma.

James Shephard, founder of Larmer Tree Festival said, “We are so proud to add Toots and the Maytals and Robert Cray to this year’s line-up. Alison Moyet joining Jools on stage really is the icing on the cake. We truly are celebrating our 20th birthday with style!”

More acts will be announced shortly adding to the cream of talent already confirmed for this landmark celebration. Not content with offering the most diverse range of incredible musical talents, Larmer Tree Festival also features hilarious comedy, innovative street theatre, interactive workshops for all ages and much, much more, so book now to avoid disappointment!
