Africa Lives on the BBC - Launch 26th June 2005 |

On Sunday 26th June the BBC and The British Museum host a day of free activities which bring the continent alive for visitors of all ages. Special BBC guests will drop by to join in the fun on the day. The live music stage will include Mozambique's number one band Massukos, trans-continental diva Mbilia Bel, African Children's Choir from South Africa, Afropean hip hop stars JJC & 419 Squad, Batanai Marimba, Thabani Band, Modou Diof & O Fogum, and Seydina Insa Wade & Oumar Sow. Make sure you also visit the Islamic galleries where BBC 3's Africa on your Street will be hosting sublime acoustic music including Modeste Hugues, Linos Wengara Magaya and Coco Mbassi.
