Brazilian View Film Fest - London, Birmingham & Brussels, November 05

Fly is proud to sponsor the Brazilian View Film Fest being held in London, Birmingham and, for the first time, Brussels. The BVFF is a non-competitive festival. Its main objective is to promote Brazilian culture and the new paths that are being established in cinema through short and medium length films

Brazilian View Film Fest

This festival aims to show the connection between the cultural diversity in Brazil and the multiplicity of expression in film, video and digital media translated into documentaries, fiction, video art, experimental films, home made movies, animations, etc. London was initially thought of as the ideal city to host the event for its metropolitan quality, a city of encounters, open to new points of view. The mix of so many diverse cultures creates a space for the surfacing of avant garde alternatives, a place for communication between diverse peoples. Brazil is similar in this aspect; it is also a melting pot for cultural diversity.

The idea for the festival came from a wish, not only to show good movies that are being made in Brazil, but also to discover what populates the imagination of Brazilian filmmakers, what the country is thinking, what images are being produced, what stories are being told. It is a movement made of discoveries.
