Corazon Africano - A Night of Afro-Venezuelan Music, Bolivar Hall, London, 6 & 7 April '06

An exciting, violently rhythmical evening of music inspired by the essence and heritage of African rhythms and melodies and their influence in Venezuela, Cuba and Puerto Rico — and what better location than in the Embassy of Venezuela

Corazon Africano - A Night of Afro-Venezuelan Music, Bolivar Hall, London, 6 & 7 April 06

It should be a brilliant fusion of academy and street with Orlando Poleo — recognized as the best conga player in the world, renowned international concert pianist Clara Rodriguez and prize winning, Paris-based percussionist Diana Montoya getting together to pay homage to the African continent.

6th & 7th April 2006 at 7.30pm Bolivar Hall
56 Grafton Way
London W1T 5DL

The programme will include the first performance of Diego Silva’s Africa Mia — an impressive canvas that delves deep into the main rhythms and rituals of Africa and Afro-Venezuelan traditions. Plus the Merengue by Federico Ruiz; Afro-Cuban Dances by Ernesto Lecuona, El Negro José by Aldemaro Romero and Bongo-0 by Puerto Rican Roberto Sierra.

Clara Rodriguez - Piano
Orlando Poleo - Percussion
Diana Montoya - Percussion
For the first time together in concert.

Tube: Warren Street - Victoria and Northern Lines
Tickets: £10.00
Early booking strongly advised due to small capacity audience. 0207 388 5788
