East African Hip Hop in London

The East Africans invaded the UK — well for a week anyway. With the Sisi Kwa Sisi Tour of 2005 a contingent of Kenyans and Tanzanian hip hop heads have been pounding into UK venues and getting the crowds going.

Lydia Martin was at Club Afrique in London on the 6th of May and joined a packed crowd to see Jua-Kali, Nonini and the K-Diplomats from Kenya and from Tanzania Man Dojo & Domo Kaya, Wanaume and a surprise performance from Solo Thang.
