'Feel Like Going Home' is acclaimed director Martin Scorsese's own contribution to his series 'The Blues: a musical journey from the Mississippi Delta to West Africa' . This moving and informative film traces links between Mali's musical traditions and the blues of America's Deep South using unique archival footage of Muddy Waters, Son House, Led Belly and more. The film features performances by Taj Mahal, Willie King and Corey Harris who leads us on a fascinating journey from the US to Bamako, Timbucktu, Niafunke and beyond... The film comprises interviews and music from some of Mali's finest artists including Salif Keita, Ali Farka Toure and Habib Koite who demonstrate clear connections between their music and rhythms and those characterising southern US populations from slavery until the present day.

"Wide-ranging, engaging, informative yet personal, this was clearly a labour of love for Scorsese and he presents a fascinating documentary on the blues past and present which deserves to be seen by aficionados and novices alike". Channel 4
