Golden Sun Movement present ON - 20.04.11 to 20.05.11

Whether its the legendary UFO club nights of the 60s or the 80s Balearic scene or even the house music explosion of the 90s - otherworldly sounds have always influenced visual art and design. Nowhere is this better exemplified than in the work of artists Luke Insect, Leo Zero and David Little, who are coming together for their inaugural exhibition

Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site.

Dating from the days of Pink Floyd’s psychedelic light show projections and Grateful Dead posters, the far out has never been too far from any of these three artists who under the collective name of Golden Sun Movement.

Over the past few decades the collective have worked on some of the most cutting edge music and arts projects around, including high profile campaigns for Time Out, MTV, Paul McCartney, Nike and Red Bull among countless others.

The ON exhibition will display not only a selection of the artists’ originals and back catalogue works but also bespoke site-specific creations inspired by the gallery’s converted warehouse space. New works will be produced both collaboratively and individually as Dave, Leo and Luke exploit the gallery’s unique architectural features in a mind bending display of exuberant psychedelia.

There’s a private view tomorrow but there’s only one place to be in town tomorrow night as at The Book Club, Leo Zero takes to the decks. He will also be joined by a host of other DJs including Pete Fowler (Monsterism), Richard Norris (of The Time And Space Machine and Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve and more), Stuart Hogg and Sean Rowley.

More info see links below and check out his Disconnect compilation by Leo Zero to give you an idea of how good this guy is.
