Heart of the World Festival - Cambridge, 7-13 May '07

Following its great success last year Heart of the World returns to Cambridge for a second year.

Heart of the World Festival - Cambridge, 7-13 May

The festival brings together music and cultures from different points around the globe, offering a wide range of events to choose from, including live music, exhibitions, film screenings and a Family Day amongst many others. This year there is a particular focus on Africa, East Europe and the Middle East.

Festivities spread throughout the city centre and beyond, taking place in a wide range of venues that include The Junction, the Corn Exchange, The Elm Tree, The Hayward Theatre in Ely, Michaelhouse Centre, Arts Picturehouse and Cambridge Guildhall.

13/05 7.30pm Konono No. 1 The Junction Extraordinary, radical grooves from cult Congolese dance outfit who stormed WOMAD last year
Film Screenings Arts Picturehouse The Arts Picturehouse will be screening a programme of films about the countries and cultures that shape Heart of the World
