Heatwave vs Mas Fuego! - East London

The Heatwave nights have been "injecting a much needed slice of sunshine into London's clubland " (ViewLondon.co.uk) for over 18 months with the hottest dancehall and bashment styles around. Now, the people who Time Out have called "the most exciting new luminaries of London's burgeoning dancehall scene" are expanding to take in the whole of the Caribbean: from Jamaica to Puerto Rico and Trinidad to Cuba.

The Heatwave room features the best in Dancehall, Bashment, R'n'B and Soca with residents the Heatwave DJs (Punchline/Scandal Bag) & Quality Diamond. Special guests lined up include Suncycle, Yungun aka Essa, The Bug (featuring Warrior Queen & Ras B) and J Star.

The Mas Fuego! room will be a Latin affair - Reggaeton (Latin ragga) and R'n'B/Hip Hop Latino - hosted by DJ Lubi (Nascente/StraightNoChaser) & DJ MDK (Twice As Nice) and featuring MCs from Cuba, Venezuela and Colombia. Plus: on-stage bashment and street-salsa dancers from the Black Shadow crew (Bristol) and Salsoul (Leeds).

UPCOMING GUESTS

18th February - Bootleg supremo J Star on the decks, plus an exclusive dancehall set from The Bug (Rephlex/Razor X) featuring MCs Warrior Queen (Casual Records) and Ras B. Cuban hip hoppers Stylo Prohibido live in the Mas Fuego! room.

18th March - hot shot London rapper Yungun aka Essa (Janomi Records) riding the bashment riddims in a live PA. Plus Bristol's finest dancehall selectors Scrapulous (Qualitex Studio) and Canibus (Unique Star) with special guest dancers Trees & Black Shadow crew (Bristol). Rubi Dan, MC from Colombia's chart-topping Sidestepper, will be adding to the Fuego...
