If you missed Cinematic Orchestra Live at The Roundhouse in Camden Town last week; a “happening” in the near perfect setting with the band set virtually in the middle of the audience of 3000 fans together with The Heritage Orchestra playing Man With A Movie Camera and Patrick Watson (co-writer & singer on ‘Ma Fleur’), get down to Bexhill this Saturday (14th November) as the Heritage Orchestra present Beardyman & DJ Switch.

Beardyman (UK Beatbox Champion and on ‘Got The Rhythm’ ) is acknowledged as the ultimate in improvised beatboxing and is joining the Orchestra with World DMC Champion DJ Switch for a live version of Gabriel Prokofiev’s Concerto for Turntables & Orchestra.

The album that has recently been released (see review HERE) so will DJ Switch be able to “scribble, chirp, and crab” like DJ Yoda? And what will a full on improvising orchestra and one man beatbox ‘orchestra’ sound like? Will conductor Jules Buckley be able to contol them all?

It sounds like a hell of a night “…And even though taking away music stands from an orchestra is as foolish and dangerous as taking away Slick Rick’s gold jewelry, the risk here will provide the lucky punters with an electrifying, seat-of-the-pants collaboration like no other.”
