From the 1930s until the late 80s, the infamous all-female Cuban ‘son’ band Anacaona charmed audiences with their exotic variety of son, bolero and wild mambo music. Director Kummels charts the journey of the Castro sisters from near scandalous beginnings to national heritage with vintage clips, interviews and enthralling live performance.
