Nod Navigators Invade Special at CAMP, London - 23.07.10

Special@ is the strand of CDR which takes the key players from the CDR community, and their invited guests, who bring their unique flavours to special events and parties. It’s called Special for a reason (ahhh…).

Special@ is back at East London’s CAMP for another excursion in future music with a Dutch invasion. This month we are bringing you some of the freshest forward-thinking artists around in the form of a Nod Navigators Takeover! The Kindred Spirit offshoot label is taking over the stage at CAMP with their flagship acts for a musical night that just cannot be missed!

Live there’s Aardvarck, Mwëslee and The Blessings (the last two have each got a brand new release to promote) plus there is DJ support from friend of FLY Mamiko Motto (Hepcat Radio) and the CDr team of WaH-Chu-kU (Drum Poet Community, NEPA) and Gavin Alexander.

Spanish producer/rapper Mwëslee is first up in the live space with his unique hip hop-meets-jazz-electro flavours. Then we have The Blessings whom are Glaswegian electronic superheroes mashing up new jack swing to deep house - Last up is Aardvarck with his hip hop/alternative fusion that will sling you into the future stratosphere with musical abandon.

We hope you’ll agree this is a line up of talent that is so impressive it will make your eyes water. And that’s a promise. DJs-wise yours truly Tony Nwachukwu in his WaH-Chu-kU guise - him displaying his more uptempo dancefloor-ness, Gavin Alexander plus special guest Mamiko Motto, who runs 21st Century soul station Hepcat Radio, who’ll be banging out her finest selection of soul from old to new.
