Our Everyday Lives Fundraiser - Cargo, London 13 December '06

Live music, DJs and films in Hoxton’s Cargo and all for a good cause too

Our Everyday Lives Fundraiser - Cargo, London 13 December 06

Our Everyday Lives (OEL) is a media project run by Mouth That Roars based in Shoreditch. OEL supports children and young people in North Africa and the Middle East to produce media that explores their lives and the issues that surround them, from their point of view.

“Often it is those we least expect to have an opinion, who actually offer the most thought provoking and challenging perspective on the world.” Mouth That Roars

On the 13th of December Mouth That Roars will be hosting a fundraising event at Cargo in East London to help raise people’s awareness of the project and contribute towards sustaining the project.

The evening will be a celebration of cultures and traditions taking elements from the Middle East and North Africa as well as the immediate community, and there will also be screenings of films made by young people from Morocco, Egypt and Palestine.
On the night live performances will be provided by:
  • Hossam Ramzy
  • Abdelkader Saadoun
  • The Ramallah Underground
and DJ performances by:
  • U-cef
  • DJ Tee (Rockfellers)
  • Equal-i (Anokha)
  • Abi Clarke (Soul Jazz)
  • Sheikh Ahmed (Fail me)

The evening will be hosted by Mouth That Roars patron Angie Lemar.

There will be a fundraising draw to win some fantastic prizes and we will be auctioning off the chance to have a documentary made about your everyday lives.
