Since it first ignited London's night scene in 2003, Out of Africa has been wowing crowds and burning up dance floors around the city with its unique blend of live music, top DJs, dancers and culture. Now, moving into 2005, Out of Africa seems set to continue to surpass itself by treating Londoners to bigger, wilder nights featuring some of the most exciting talent in the world. And what better way to start things off in 2005 than with this awesome assembly of world-class artists. Universally thought of as "the father of live drum 'n bass", Marque Gilmore 'the inna_most' is one of the world's most exciting drum talents. Having played alongside a list of collaborators that reads like a "who's who" in cutting edge dance and jazz music and having pioneered some of the sounds that today seem so commonplace, he has founded The Culture Chronics with partner DJ Mickey Smith. The band itself is a line up of real luminaries, featuring the likes of sax virtuoso Steve Williamson, African dance pioneer Nii Tagoe and Jazz doyen Olalekan Babalola among other special surprise guests, who will take to the stage and join in the African infused freestyle Jazz session. Audiences will be thrilled by this African leg of The Culture Chronic's TRIBAL BROACAST FESTIVAL 2005. This truly is an epic line-up of performers playing on the same stage and creating a party in a monumental way. This is a night that will live on in people's memories for a very long time! Out of Africa is the brainchild of Yemisi Mokuolu, a Nigerian who was raised in London from an early age. She says of Out of Africa: "Since I was young, people have always asked questions about Africa. What's the music like, what food do we eat, so I wanted to bring a bit of Africa to London, to show people what it's all about. I wanted to break down the traditional perceptions that Africa is only about war, famine and poverty on the one hand and grass skirts and witch doctors on the other, and I also wanted to make people aware that Africa and its music are responsible for so much of today's music."
