The Fourth Oxford Folk Festival (30 March to 1 April)

The excellent Oxford Folk Festival is in its fourth year with a cracking line-up, and as a festival going from strength to strength it’s high time to head for those dreaming spires.

Salsa Celtica, who are playing at the Oxford Folk Festival 2007

Ones to look out for this year are without doubt the excellent Salsa Celtica, the amazing 11-piece fusion band from Scotland, Eliza Carthy and the Ratcatchers and the award-magnets John Spiers and Jon Boden.

Also appearing is the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain and probably my pick of the festival folk legends John Renbourn and Robin Williamson.

Checkout the website as well for the series of pre-festival gigs including June Tabor and Chris Leslie & Ric Sanders.
