Wychwood Returns 1-3 June 2007 - Early Bird Offer

Wychwood Music Festival will return to Cheltenham Racecourse for its third year on 1-3 June 2007. Festival favourites and Beautiful Days Festival curators the Levellers will be headlining the Main Stage on Friday and if you are quick, there is an early bird offer…

Wychwood Returns 1-3 June 2007 - Early Bird Offer

Tickets for 2007 are currently available at an early bird offer of £75 full weekend adult ticket and £55 full weekend concession (11 and under are free) until 30 September. Tickets are already selling fast after a number of reviews of the festival and word of mouth has indicated that Wychwood is a festival that is really catching people’s imagination and it would be a mistake to miss such value for money.

Festival Director Graeme Merifield said, “We are delighted to be able to announce our first act so early. The Levellers are Glastonbury veterans and regularly sell out their own festival; we can’t wait to see what they do at Wychwood”. As for the rest of the line-up, the Festival organisers say to expect the same eclectic mix as 2006, which included acts such as Billy Bragg, world music stars Amadou & Mariam, Chart toppers The Feeling and indie darlings (and now Mercury Music Prize nominees) Guillemots.

Workshops for all ages, with sessions ranging from African drumming to life coaching, yoga to breakdancing, Mask Making to songwriting, make this festival about more than just the music. “We consider our workshop programme as carefully as our music line-up” said Graeme Merifield, “we really want to show people that Wychwood has something for every age, it truly is a family event”

The addition of comedy in 2006 also expanded the range entertainment a weekend at Wychwood can offer and the organisers include an intimate, packed out performance from Mark Thomas as one of the highlights of this year’s Festival.

Making the most of its early June dates Wychwood has already established itself as a great way to start the Festival Season off for the dedicated festival goers and an inspiring first festival for those who are new to the experience. Those who attended in 2006 said, “We had such a great time with our four kids, our four year old cried when it came time to go and it’s all they have talked about since!” and “As a festival virgin I didn’t have a clue what to expect, but it was absolutely fabulous…you’ve given me the bug!”
