What kinds of sounds and musical influences are you going to be
experimenting with at the London Jazz Fringe Festival?
We (Roberto & I) are going to play our instruments (bass and violin, plus percussion, flute, Steiner EVI, and voice) through a loop delay, with which we will expand our possibilities almost infinitely.

I can say we play mainly ambient, African, Latin, funk, contemporary, Middle Eastern, a hint of jungle, ... shall I carry on?

How did you get involved with the festival?
I personally played in Ed Simpson's band Lautrec for a while. It was he who called me when he acknowledged the existence of our duo.

If anyone is unfamiliar with your work, can you give them a bluffer's description and some musical career highlights hype?
The music style doesn't really matter -- all will be personalized into our own sound. Indicatively, I can say we play mainly ambient, African, Latin, funk, contemporary, Middle Eastern, a hint of jungle, ... shall I carry on?
I met Roberto in London some 12 years ago. We worked together on a record of his while he was signed with Warner. Meanwhile, we went on with our own careers, as session musicians and composers.

Name one essential non-jazz record that everyone should listen to and tell us why it is so special.
Jazzanova: In Between. Can't tell you why it's special, music itself will. They are just great in putting it together! Real innovative and courageous.

If Bono is ill and needs someone to stand in for him the next time he is asked to address the world's leaders, what would you tell them?
I would say Beppe Grillo, but I'm not sure you know him, and also he doesn't speak English. Shame. That could be a real improvement.
Second option: Penny Rimbaud from Crass. He'll have a hell of a lot to tell them.
