If you’re new UK electro producer wunderkind, getting a track like ‘So Many Nights’ on DJ Mehdi’s Christmas Mixtape for ED Banger’s blog is pretty close to making it big time in itself.

At least it caught the attention of UK Radio spinners Annie Mac, Peter Tong and Zane Lowe (from Radio 1) and KISS’ Joe Ransom who made it his record of the week. More like DJ Mehdi than Clavin Harris as, even on the four track EP, he blurs the boundaries between electro based house, classic disco, funk, techno, trance whilst adding a slice of hip-hop to finish it off (albeit all in each track!)

His previous two EPs Teknique and Turbo came out last year but that wasn’t going to hold him back with on the remix front slipping in Late of the Pier, Linus Loves, Yuksek, Calvin Harris (of course), Black Eyed Peas, Wolfmother, Ladyhawke, and Frankmusik.

Linus is so impressed by Burns that as this EP comes out they’ll be putting the finishing touches to a full length debut album that will also come out on Love’s 21-12 Records label. Can’t wait for that either!
