Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site. Some may recognise the name from Arabesque and Buddha Bar compilations. Some may even have connected his name to the excellent Radar album 'Nothing Is Real'. For those not familiar with this artist's work, the best starting point would be to describe his work as exotic ambient, with a penchant for multilayered guitars and strong Arabic percusion. The album rarely goes above horizontal in tempo, although 'Keep On' does feature deft French rapping from Nelio, whilst 'Ja Vidi' will certainly keep the bellydancers happy. The beats are slinky and sensuous throughout, with the title track and 'Desert Man' adding oodles of desert nuance to a mightily atmospheric collection of largely instrumental songs. Definitely worth a punt if you like your trip-hop camel flavoured, or if you are a fan of soundtrack sassiness. |
