Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site. As the name implies, Codec Shift, being the London based producers Gregory Lakin and Alistair Albrecht, is a worthy addition to the VeryVeryWrongIndeed team as the ‘Viper Room’ mixes up Tom Dazing’s Wasp Cocktail and Mike Monday’s Your Body and gives sit Steve Reich veneer - it’s a tune! But oddly enough, the sting in the tail (Ed. Vipers haven’t got a sting in their tale) comes in the shape of the b-side, ‘Cyrus One’ as it bounces down the runway with excessive snake hiss. At the risk of repeating myself, there is definitely something VVWI about these guys and if you ever get the chance to experience a whole evening/morning of them (either in public or the privacy of your own home/lodgings/bed-sit/flat share/squat), your likely to experience a seismic shift!
