It was fairly obvious that their remix of Majik Johnson’s ‘I Give Up’ was just a marker of their talents and this is another track that’s bound to get them more attention on the remix circuit as this raves in all its glory; get ready for the quiet bit before it explodes.

They’ve done it again on ‘Your Night Is Not Over’ as they mould the squidgy synths to a jackin’ (wait for it) Latin beat. Unbelievably addictive and definitely my kinda house music; think DJ Hell on a Nicola Conte remix tip.

In between the two, ‘Make You Smile (Upside Down)’ is a huge chunk of dirty phat house with a sense of humour.

This release will further enhance Deepgroove’s reputation as one of the most exciting acts in the UK today. Apparently this duo from Bristol need four decks when they play live and have recently played with Seb Fontaine at Type. They’ve already caught the attention of the diverse ears of Pete Tong, DJ Hyper, D. Ramirez and Kling Klong’s Martin Eyerer as well as just getting a nomination on Best Breakthrough Act category of the Best of British DJ mag awards (see links below to vote for your favourites).
