This particular heated white flair-wearing vegetable comprises the Nottingham trio Stack of Jim Baron (Crazy P, Secret Stealth), Holly Baxter (Secret Stealth) and Tony Global (Floorman, Peace Feast, Tummy Touch).

‘Crazy Boy’ is vocal clubby lounge jazz horns ‘n’ all, and there is disco (‘Truth and Lies’) and low key (‘Closer to Me’), but the best of the bunch are ‘Do It’ where Stack have pushed the shape of the disco box out a little and on the smouldering ‘Not Enough Room’.

It’s a little less a Hot Disco Aubergine as one cooling off in the chill-out room at the end of the evening. And despite treading the dangerous Sade line from time to time this aubergine still has some chilled disco vibes to impart.
