Taking part of their name from their multi-national heritages, Foreign Beggars are made up of Office Vulgatron and Metropolis (Rappers), the excellent DJ Nonames, Shlomo (Beat Boxer) and producer Dag Nabbit.

Apart from DJ Nonames hot mix album (Beggars Brew), we came across them with ‘Slow Boiled Ilk’ because of their collaboration with OHNO. They’ve also worked with other Stone Throw artists, Wildchild (of Lootpack) and Dudley Perkins/Declaime as well as Ninja Tune star, DJ Vadim.

Coming from various corners of the world with an open mind to new and innovative hip hop, London was an obvious place to start recording. The new album sees a progression from their raw debut album Asylum Speakers with a lyrical maturity that has come with the constant touring throughout Europe.

It’s on such tours that they made their links with the Stones Throw underground whilst Dr. Syntax is signed to their label, Dented.

You may have seen them on the cover of One Week To Live and the exciting news is that there are some more collaborations in the pipeline (with Jehst, Scratch Perverts and OhNo) as well as some releases on Dented, albums by Dr. Syntax and Skein and the “UK’s answer to Jaylib”, Ghost Town.
