It’s been just over a year since Oliver Koletzki released his Get Wasted album on his own Stil Vor Talent label so it’s certainly about time we looked into the latest release.

The title track ‘Monday’ has an upbeat funky groove with a strangely hypnotic vocal line that is somewhat like a Makossa & Megablast’s ‘Tibet’ (from the excellent Great Summergames Stuff album) getting translated and reworked minimal Berlin stylee; it ends on “Let’s go in another clubbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb”. Hirtenfellner & Philip Bader definitely don’t want to go home/work/rest on a Monday.

Hirtenfellner is one half of Heinrichs & Hirtenfeller and he’s joined up with Berlin DJ/Producer, Philip Bader who is the one with the ‘deep’ vocals.

On the flip side, ‘I Try’ is the what Reich minimal is all about in a techno setting. “I try to find” is repeated throughout most of the track with some warped synth lines; it’s the type of thing gets in a groove and keeps going; worth getting for the bass wobbles.

The last track is apparently is a homage to Bar 25 is a truly experimental psychedelic minimal dub to a ping-pong match. Dance floor reactions guaranteed and ideal timing for Beijing 2008.

The next 12” planned is by Niconé called ‘Una Rossa’ (August 2008) and the big one is the 3 year anniversary celebration compilation out in September on double CD or triple vinyl. Can’t wait for that!
