Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site. It was this pairing that produced the classic single, ‘B 4 U Die’ (a track that also featured Skriblah and Kyza on the album The Sagas Of Klashnekoff) and this new album is well up to that standard. The album starts on a high with the Gil Scott-Heron inspired, ‘The Revolution (Will Not Be Televised on Channel U)’. In truth we know the revolution will be live on all channels starting with You Tube. Unusually, the list of collaborators is rather small but there is no lack of quality. ‘My Life’ is an urban poem featuring Mpho Skeef and there’s a track with acclaimed Dancehall star Capleton and New York rapper, Kool G Rap. In fact, Mr. K. G. Rap and Kyza feature on the big track ‘Terrorise The City’ and you must check, synth-laden and in your face. Top track along with the soul-jass of ‘Refuse To Die’ and the heavy ‘Two Guns Blazing’ (feat. 45; geddit?) It’s a tough album but it strikes me that the title Lionheart: Tussle With The Beast could be abit harder. Come on lads, what about “Battle With The Beast”? Hectic Mix nomination: ‘Terrorise The City’, ‘Refuse To Die’, ‘Two Guns Blazing’ Reviewed: Joe Buhdah Present Klashnekoff - Lionheart: Tussle With The Beast (Riddim Killa) Release date: 26th Feb 2007 Links: |
