After her last outing with Deadmau5 with the large ‘Attention Whore’, nothing is going to keep Melleefresh (aka Melleny Melody) down. This time she gets a hand up from San Francisco’s CyberSutra (did you see what they’ve done there?) to lay down the original track packaged with 8 fresh remixes ready to chav you’re main room house. Can you handle it?

It’s unlikely that you’ll get her old playmate Deadmau5 (aka Joel Thomas Zimmerman) playing this lot out as its rather unadventurous until you get to the Danny Jay remix (who remixed Zimmerman’s ‘Dr. Funkenstein’ for Halloween) as gets the original thumping beats in an electro boogie spin for the main room.

Another one of the remixers on Play’s roster is Ok Sure (fresh from his remix of Kaysh’s ‘Fish & Sex’) with something from the leftfield that leave’s the vocal more naked and closer to a breathless Donna Summer.

If you can keep up, South Africa’s latest upstart Dylan Holshausen gets dirty electro funky but the one that’s getting picked up by the likes of Crookers, The Bloody Beetroots, Drop The Lime, Steve Aoki et al is the Smut Pushers extended Bmore bounce. Who are the Smut Pushers? Good question but they are definitely party people with a perky sense of humour and hip-hop heritage.

The set is finished off with an extended mash-up of Deadmau5’ ‘Vanishing Point’ and ‘White Trashy & Blonde’ that on the face of it sounds rather dull but comes out rather bass heavy sparkle synth that’s just right for Christmas.

Now you’re not going to get Melleefresh in you Xmas stocking so this is the best alternative and you never know, Ms. Melody might even have a personal makeunder resolution for 2010!
