Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site. There’s going to a be a fair bit of Disco : Boogie 70s style coming up on the pages of FLY very soon but Ryota Nozaki (regular readers will recall this album Samurai and the Hectic interview HERE) is known as a bit of a special case when it comes having his finger on the dance floor pulse (as Peterson pointed out, his DJ gigs are massive in Japan). On ‘Real Clothes’ he has captured the big string disco on down big production number that’s only bettered with the cranked up bass and piano on the Guynamukat mix. By a total coincidence Lonnie Liston Smith came out the box the weekend and whilst this is more disco, I’m more than happy to have the jazzy keys going back to back but then the Hectic mix is renown for such things. So, at last, you don’t have to listen to GP blabbering on all over the top of this one; big Ohayo gozaimasu to all involved on this one - massive tune and more respect to the ever prolific Mukatsuku Records after the equally essential recent release of Kaleta & Akoya Afrobeat single, The Spirit Of Fela Is Alive & Well!.
