October - Houston EP |

Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site. October (aka Julian Raymond Smith) follows up last months’ fantastic ‘Raw’ EP (with the Agnès & Ripperton’s Twisted Remix) with more sublime minimal techy house of ‘Houston’. So just when you might be thinking that this genre is all too predictable, there’s always someone out to prove you wrong. And this is true of this 12” as it’s currently kicking up a bit of a storm in the worlds of Phonica types. You may recall that a few years ago there was a release by October on Fluid Ounce (one of our favourite labels and home of Zero dB) but he’s now on fourth 12” release on Caravan Recordings (one of a host of Multiverse Music sub-labels) in just less than a year; I wonder what next month will bring?
