Bandmaster’s Flight (aka DJ Rudd and Andis Anson) are fresh from the Latvian Bugz In The Attic meets Osunlade fan club meeting, mixing up the heavy bass and the afrobeat on this one. Bleeps’n’ bass boogie on the operating table of sound EFX; check the instrumental verson in the house.

Leanne (aka Lealea Joans) adopts an in your face hip-hop approach to the vocals and it works particularly well on the broken beat of the Bennson mix — much sparser than the other mix. One half of Australian team Bennson & Lanu, he’s another one to watch out for.

Having said that all that, the heavy bass bomb on the original with more of a Latin house feel is the most uplifting.

This 12” and the earlier ‘Sister’ (also with Leanne’s soulful vocals) is a warm-up for a full album release later in the year with some live shows around the UK.
