Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site. Domino Recordings seem to have got in on the act to give us some indie kid cred for the original mix taken from the album, Love Again. On the remix front, Filthy Dukes Society are best known for their remix of The Rakes indie hit of last summer, ‘22 Grand Job’ and the new wannabees, The Maccabees’ ‘X-Ray’. They slow down the original to a brisk walking pace and in giving the vocals the vocoder treatment, it’s a little fried for this hot chip. When it comes to turning the heat up, Pedro & Panama take it to melting point level with some Riot in Belgium navy destroyer tactics. The Radioclit boys of DJ Tron and Johan keep the vocals of the original pretty much in tact with the Franz Ferdinand guitar lick but with a Disco percussion and more synth, it’s closer NME’s favourites, The Klaxons. And they’ve got the odd pop-art cover sorted; an away win!! (1-2). One-two “O-hot Brain” Hectic Mix nomination: Destroyed By Pedro & Panama Reviewed: One-Two - O-Hot Brain (Four Music) Cat.
