Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site. Released on Born To Dance Records, you get the idea, uplifting house with an irresistible shout along hook of ‘Irresistible’; it’s as hot as a white isle on heat with likely suspects Wawa, Timmy Vegas (Soul Central), Andy Daniels and Carl Hanaghan (both Hed Kandi), Paul Deigton (Housexy), Antony Angel, Essential House Radio Show, Enrico Delaiti (Sound4Group), and Dan McKie all givng it support. It comes in a variety of DJ friendly versions with Tom’s own versions being the most main room; currently feeling the dub as it cuts down on the ‘Irresistible’ and ups the synths (not that there’s anything wrong with Ms. D Gordon’s powerful vocals). You recall that the ball started rolling for Tom back in 2006 with the link up with Ninja Tunes’ Coldcut with the remix on ‘Walk A Mile In My Shoes’ that featured Robert ‘Night-time Stories’ Owens on vocals. That remix got plays on Radio 1 and Kiss FM and before you know it, he’s remixing Jamiroquai (‘Cosmic Girl’ and ‘Runaway’), Simply Red and Level 42 and working on labels such as StoneyBoy and breaks label Kraak & Smaak on Jalapeno Records. And talking of remixes and StoneyBoy, StoneyBoy’s founder and head honcho SoneyBridges (aka Sten Olof Hallström) wades in with a longer club orienated remix from Sweden that keeps you up for the full 8 minutes that takes your breath away like a run-a-way train (yeah! it’s that sexy). And if that doesn’t satisfy, fresh from Radio 1’s One Big Weekend, for fans of Crookers and the like, Jaymo puts in a suitably twisted electro breaks remix that strangely works well before Thunderheist’s ‘Nothing 2 Step 2’ (getting back to Ninja Tune/Big Dada). And check Jaymo & Andy George are back on In New Djs We Trust next week, see links below. This is Belton’s debut single and as irresistible as it is, you just know there’s more to come as this guy was born to dance. Reviewed: Tom Belton - Irresistible (Born To Dance Records) Cat.
