Ramon Tapia is yet another find for Great Stuff Recordings as Ramon follows Butch’s ‘Amelie’ (from the recent Papillon album) with some mini jackness that already gain loads of support by many well known DJs.

Tapia is a producer from Antwerp, son of a Chilean political refugee and a Dutch mother. Before his inclusion on Great Summergames Stuff (the track was called ‘Belgium’), Ramon Tapia De Jonge to give him his full moniker, released a few tracks on a variety of differing labels so this isn’t an overnight sensation.

Each of the tracks has it’s fans like ‘Mini Jack’ (Stephan ‘Herzblut’ Bodzin, Gregor Tresher), ‘UFO’ (Stephan Bodzin, André Galluzzi), ‘Can You Dig It’ (Shinedoe), Tanzgefühl (Gregor Tresher, André Galluzzi) and D.Ramirez says “This mini album is a work of genius!”

Ramon’s tracks are likely to turn up on Headliners if he’s ever asked to do another then; especially ‘Can You Dig It’ as it really hits into the Obama style rally for house nation presidents.

Talking of which, ‘Mini Jack’ contains a sample of Hithouse’s ‘Jack To The Sound Of The Underground’ but the rest is all original and more impressive for such quality tracks throughout; ‘Morning Funk’ is nearly as ‘UFO’ as ‘UFO’ and ‘Just Me’ is a mix of ping-pong and “woo, woowoo” vocoder; “SCREAM”. Is it just me or is ‘Just Me’ the best of the lot?
