RQM - Colors Fade EP |

Little surprise that Radio 1’s Mary Anne Hobbs is playing this one as RQM (aka Lukasz G. Polowczyk) has featured on some heavy bass sounds over the years like FLY favourites Jahcoozi, Stereotyp and Filewile, Eva ‘New Crack’ Be’s last album Moving Without Travelling, Milanese, Lazer Sword, Oliver $ and with The Tape as The Tape vs. RQM to name just a few! ‘Atomic Fusion’ is a Moritz Friedrich production, better known as the twisted Siriusmo who keeps things mellow to give RQM to express himself but bass heavyweight Son Of Kick literally kicks the bomb out of the atomic bins in the dubstep-air raid shelter on the remix. The other track ‘Colors Fade’ comes in three versions. Chris De Luca provides the remix on the vinyl and “it is what it’s not”; not quite dubstep, not quite techno? His Chris De Luca G-Whistle Remix of ‘Luvely’ was instantaneously in our hearts but it’s good that he’s trying something different. I’m preferring the other two at the moment, the Glue Kids keep it subdued trance-hop so as to let RQM’s flow and story shine and the JF get a semi-ragga dubstep drop thing going on. Check out the player on the RQM site - see links below - and prepare to be impressed. Links: |
