Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site. Based in Glasgow, this young producer has caught to ear of DJs such as Miss Kittin, Laurent Garnier and Ben Watt since his first release in 2003 when he worked with Gordon Logan as a duo called Seinan. Like King Roc’s album Chapters, Sei A is not set in one pigeon hole and again, like King Roc, caught the attention of iDJ Magazine who labelled him, as one of 2008’s house heroes. His first 12” was ‘Meth’ (with a remix by Milton Jackson) and for ‘Knowing Innocence’ he’s gone to France for Llorca for some deep house brilliance. The dub mix sees Andy in more of his Droido guise as it’s stripped and simple but possibly more effective without the vocal. The EP ends on a track called ‘Ballet Of Synths’ that he’s been playing out live to great reactions as it’s more of a banger when it gets going; especially the loud bits at the end. This is another EP that just gets better and better on every play once more proving house is far from the usual. Reviewed: Sei A - Knowing Innocence (Sinan Music) Cat.
