Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site. And it won’t be only Modeselektor who will be fans of Siriusmo (aka Moritz Friedrich) as this 12” revisits the tale of the big bad wolf on the opener, ‘The Door’. One you get over the warped voice intro, the electro fuzz funk really gets under your skin in “knock, knock, knock let me in” way. As a fan of old keyboards, ‘The Uninvited Guest’ is a real medley of themes on the autobahn of synths. And talking old skool synths, ‘High Together’ is like a funked up Jean-Michel Jarre. The the flip, three more fun filled tracks as ‘Nights Off’ is a bit retro early Human League (much better than Little Boots and Philip on ‘Symmetry’), ‘Let Me In’ is a electro-funk dub of ‘The Door’ and it ends on a 30s film-warp al a Daedelus circa Exquisite Corpse. This guy is hot and an very invited guest to any party in any [Monkey]town; just drop any tracks on the a-side for a great dance floor reaction.
