The album that was released on Finger Lickin’ Records early this year and the original version of ‘Frequency’ features the vocal talents of Kathy Heath (who has sung with Bent, Crazy P, Mylo, Flatpack, International Peoples Gang to name just a few). You can still hear her on the A side as Miles “hottest talent” Dyson larges it up techno, electro, house style. It’s as if the vacuum has sucked everything up, whizzed it around abit and left us with a phat synth wobbles that causes murder with the dust (sorry, bass) bins. It’s brutal alright and you’re set to hear it everywhere you go; loud, loud, loud!

And when we say “hottest talent”, he’s in Portland tonight, then Vancouver and then upcoming dates this year in Australia, Venezuela, Germany, South Africa, Hong Kong and Brazil!

Not quite as global, on the other A side, we’ve got Breakbeat08 nominees NAPT on the remix. Fresh from their own incredible ‘Gotta Have More Cowbell’ release, sub frequency funk veterans Ashley Pope and Tomek Naden turn a typically tempo challenged bouncey synth housey funker.

Apart from the album, Slyde also released ‘Kiss Kiss Bang Bang’ as a 12” (with a Twockers remix) and the excellent reworking of Ian Dury and the Blockhead’s classic ‘Sex & Drugs’ that must be at least as good as whatever Phil Jupitus does with the current incarnation of The Blockheads (appearing at Codifest08 today!).
