Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site. Unsurprisingly, there’s a fair amount of Hot Chip electro-pop to these guys, especially on the bouncey lead track, ‘Moon Hits The Mirrorball’ that’s rather radio-dancefloor adictive. There’s the usual high standard Greco-Roman artwork by Lorenzo Fruzza and for the bass bin wobblers on the go-go percussion tip, ‘Sickly Child’ is a monster (erm..dinosaur? But their extinct! And when did these guys hit Bournemouth? ‘Bournemouth’ is a J. Arthur Rank in the disco with a strangled cat and drunken “you’re alright mate?” interjections; sounds like Mr. Scruff on a stag weekend to me. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs created a buzz with their ‘dinosaur’ range of remixes including Jonquil’s ‘Sudden Sun’ (from the Lions album) and after their “First LIVE show in 65 million years” at Bloc Weekend, they’ve some London gigs coming up to support the release, building up to the Truck Festival in July (that gets a “clucking first class” thumbs-up in Rob da Bank’s A-Z of Festivals); Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs live!
