Lougin’ Recordings was founded and run by Chris Belsey, Jesse Rose and Graeme Sinden who between them have turn up on a such varitety of releases as the new Daniel Haaksman Presents Funk Mundial album, the Rose/Hot Chip collab ‘Forget My Name’, Sinden + Count of Monte Cristal’s ‘Tamborzuda’, the trio of Rose, Belsey and Loveys on ‘The Source’ from Presents More Than One and many more that came out of the front room.

And as the West London sound evolved into dirty electro and fidget house, it’s been worth getting all of the 12s to come out on Lougin’ including Art Bleek, MusicLoveLife (aka Phil Asher and Mark de Clive-Lowe), The Young Lovers (another Herve and Sinden collab), Li’ll Bo Tweak, The Loungin’ Kollective and gobblin’ up whatever you can by Mr. Lovey’s.

The main room is hungry for the lead track ‘Chips’N’Curry’ that’s got enough wobble and beats to get you thorough the night; nice touch of warped souk guitar break to give us a breather. And in the same area (rather room) is the title track, ‘Good To Be Here’ that’s got that summery synth build-up and wave your hands in the air sound that should make it a staple of ‘Best Of 2009’ compilations this year.

‘Wayback’ at the title suggests is a bit of an homage that’s a bit funky disco and with the jazzy afro-vibes on ‘Vibin’, that’s the one that I’ll be playing as it’s really our type of house muisc.

All four tracks are reminders of the Lovey’s House Of 909 sound that sounds so now and apparently there’s going to be loads more releases from the lougnin’ camp to keep us happy this year.
