Since Misch Masch Vol III, everyone’s favourite International Deejay Gigolo may have gone around the globe a few times but there’s no jet lag on this double CD compilation.

With the bonus of a couple of new Gigolos (well, 11 actually), some previously unreleased tracks, notably a couple of retro Jack the House/Your Body tracks (via Kikumoto Allstars and Jamie Anderson ‘Alongside’ Jesse Presents More Than One Rose) and a great Hell remix, this is a must have addition to the collection.

The ‘Jack’ revival fad will probably be last week’s thing by the time you’ve taken the cellophane off the cover but if you’re looking for one track to represent “the seminal Gigiolo concept”, try Hell’s dub remix of Human Resource’s ‘Dominator’. It is said that it’s worth investing in this double CD for this track alone. I wouldn’t argue (OK I will) but it’s not the one and only track. It’s not even the only great dub remix!.

And while he’s gone back in time to rejuvenate that ‘Dominator’, he’s also dug deep for the ‘Reasons To Be Dismal?’ remix which is a bit of a lost gem (to me anyway). And while we’re talking rejuvenation, some of these tracks hark back to simpler electro days of Faltermeyer, or even Dr. Who soundtracks including ‘Happy Birthday Mr. President’ and ‘Intelegencija’. Trium de dum Waaaahooooooo.

Well, after all it’s a 10th birthday party and note Hell is coming to London (and a world near you) to celebrate. So prepare to dance to old and new alike, get the punk rave of The Presets, Oliver ‘50.1’ Huntemann and new Gigiolo signing, Rebecca Von Kalinosky’s alien ‘Dance’.

While Hell is not ‘the only and only dominator’ in underground electro, it wouldn’t be too bad a thing if he was as he’s continues to turn up the heat. Boy, is it me or is it hot in here? Hell, scares the pants offa me.
