Closely following the Hybrid Re_Mixed double album, depending on how you look at these things, you might be surprised to see the remixes of Kosheen DJ’s ‘Falling Down’, Elite Force’s ‘I Choose Noise’ and Jerome Sydenham’s ‘If I Survive’.

That said, there’s some old Y4K compilers here like General Midi and ILS. Shame there was not enough room for Tayo or the Dub Pistols as after a good start, especially ‘Electro’, I felt the mix CD lost its way in the middle. Then again, like it should, it came strong at the end with that Sydenham remix, ‘Cold Drink, Hot Girl’ (great title) and ‘Never Gonna Stop The Show’ by General Midi.

CD2 is the unmixed version with a different version of ‘Never Gonna Stop The Show’ and the original of ‘Cold Drink, Hot Girl’. For the rave heads there’s an exclusive Alex Metric Remix of Black DanieL’s ‘Gimme What You Got’ that originally sounded like an electro Gary Glitter/Sweet track. For variety, there’s goth rockers inspired Adam Freeland remix of ILS ‘Cherish’ from a couple of years ago. And to prove it’s a showcase, there’s the glitchy synths on the exclusive track ‘Purple Freak’ and a new one for 2007, a remix of ‘Nightfighter’ by Christian J that has just blown me monitors!

There you go, break anthems that are loud, what more do you want?
