Vincent Markowski - 'The Madness Of Moths' |

Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site. The label claim they know very little about Mr. Markowski but by a strange coincidence, former DC Recordings leading light Tom Tyler seems to be connected in some unresolved way (remember Carmel Conclusion and Asleep At The Switch?) Could they even be one and the same person? ‘The Madness Of Moths’ gets a fairly manic tribal house space out and ideal dance floor electro boogie. And on the b-side, if Lars Frediksson’s crickets were electrocuted on a Trans Europe Express it might sound something like, ‘False Flag’. This track appears on the also recently released DC Recordings Presents Death Before Distemper that has received a good response from critics. The 12” has a great cover by La Boca and if I hadn’t voted already on the Best Art Vinyl 2006, this might have made my top three. Don’t be confused, ‘The Madness Of Moths’ is no field recording but definitely something to wave the flags about. Reviewed: Vincent Markowski — The Madness Of Moths (D.C. Recordings) Cat.
