Martin Buscaglia - El Evangelio Según Mi Jardinero |

El Evangelio Según Mi Jardinero opens with ‘Cerebro Orgasmo Envidia & Sofía’; a funky ditty using “Portuñol” (Portugues/Spanish) vocals. But Martin Buscaglia’s talents stretch further than just Latino-funkedelia; ‘Ante La Duda Todo’ and ‘Lavapies (Jesus is My Coach)’ sees Buscaglia turn his hand to a lighter downtempo folky-jazz feel. While ‘Trivial Polonio’, ‘Viajar Contigo es Como Escuchar la Vida Secreta De Las Plantas’ and ‘Presiento Que Esta Noche Soy un Lirio’ show Buscalgia’s ability to incorporate modern twists into the sound of traditional ballads. ‘Vagabundo’ is a great example of an old classic being brought bang up to date and to a new generation of listeners. Originally by La Lupe, Buscaglia’s take is a beatboxed electrofied mariachi medley. El Evangelio Según Mi Jardinero is what the market has been waiting for; original and beautifully crafted and ultimately taking a leap forward to show where the progression of Latin artists, not bound by the music they are stereotyped to, could end up. This is truly a milestone in the progress of the latest generation of Latin artists. An unconventional sound that is sure to surprise many and disappoint none. Buscaglia has pushed the boundaries of the next generation of Latin sounds. |
