Having said that the album is punctuated by moments of great musicianship such as the wonderful, Cuban-influenced piano montuno on Los Nemus del Pacifico's Castigala.

Expect pulsing rhythms and lyrics boasting of one Colombian cities pre-eminence in Salsa over another. Calí wins by virtue of having two songs to Baranquilla's one but Baranquilla probably has the catchiest tune courtesy of Alfredo de la Fey. But above all expect to shake your booty to a mix of hard salsa and gentler more romantic offerings like La Malquerida by La Sabrosura. Add to the mix a touch of ragga and rap influences on tracks by Los Titanes and Latinos en la Casa and you have a fresh slice of Latin.
