Africa On Your Street is a BBC Radio 3 Interactive website where you can find out about the African music scene in the UK and beyond. London-based Nigerian artist/ producer JJC is amongst a number of on-line hosts offering tips on gigs, clips of their favourite CDs, news and gossip. Read about Soothsayers, Wawesh, K’naan and much more. Make sure to leave your thoughts in JJC’s comments section at the bottom of the page. Also, if you are previously unfamiliar with this column, don’t forget that you can still check out all the previous columns. If you are interested in African hip hop make sure you also check out the four-part documentary Afropop, broadcasting over the next four weeks on BBC 1Xtra as as part of the TXU programme, Wednesdays 2 - 4pm GMT. Presented by JJC it looks at the rise and rise of African hip hop. I think you guys need to take a shot at this Nigerian Group base in China. The combination of their songs are really good, i mean combinatio of Chinese and english That’s a great idea. I saw their show last time in Shanghai, it was really great.
