The Speech Therapy album was always our favourite as we’ve been saying how good it and all the singles have been for ages (that’s ‘Better Days’, the album Speech Therapy and the previous singles ‘Go Then, Bye’ and ‘The Key’).

Beating off competition from Florence & The Machine, Friendly Fires, Bat For Lashes, La Roux, Led Bib and Gilles Peterson’s pick, The Invisible, according to Speech’s interview in the Guardian today, she knew she was going to win. With the benefit of hindsight, we should have all known that she would win.

So whilst Gilles’ interview with Bonobo on his show earlier today (featuring the forthcoming single ‘The Keeper’ with another star in the ascent Andreya Triana) and let on the news that Acid Jazz is coming back (which we knew about with Twisted Tongue album) we can all watch the award at 11.40pm tomorrow (Friday, 11th) on BBC2.

Whilst at it, what a show by Peterson this week? Not only tipping Bonobo’s new album for Mercury success next year, there’s a track from the fab Gaslamp Killer (don’t forget his compilation of earlier this year All Killer: Finders Keepers Records 1-20) and the Maida Vale session of the year by Fink showcasing tracks from his brilliant album Sort Of Revolution.

Fink and Bonobo were brilliant at Big Chill this year and whilst the single is out next month but you enjoy the video here and see below Speech Debelle tour dates.
