Thanks for supporting the petition to recognise Stan Tracey’s contribution to jazz.
I started the petition because I think he is a national treasure and should be recognised as such; but, as importantly, because he is one of those highly talented individuals who is neither part of the establishment, nor a major commercial success. We all depend on such figures for the real creativity in our cultural life.
