Angelique Kidjo & Femi Kuti: Live at the Apollo |

Benin-born global music heavyweight Angelique Kidjo plays in her adopted home town of New York on a fantastic double bill with Femi Kuti. You can read our interview with Angelique but also expect fireworks on stage when Femi does his stuff. The son of late, great Fela Kuti, Femi has gained respect for his own development of his father's Afro beat legacy (and his experimental cross breeding of contemporary musical forms) and his shows are outstanding. If you are lucky, he might even bring the house down with a couple of Fela's tunes to end the show. Should be a top night out. |
